2nd Intervention with focus group about how they usually relieve negative emotions and white noise test
Process Overview and Perspective Summary Record
For Generation Z, the word EMO is not unfamiliar. At night, they open the short video software, brush the "Guess what you like" pushed by big data, and fall into one visual vortex after another, while anxiety also begins to grow, consumed by one desire after another, but filled by one anxiety after another.
EMO: Representing a subculture, EMO is short for the word (emotional) and is a slang term used by GenZ today to indicate that one has fallen into negative emotions again.
The Gen Z focus group told me during the discussion that while they can't live their daily lives without the online world, the information-intensive online world also often makes them feel anxious.
We discussed the following three main questions
Why do you feel anxiety?
Describe anxiety characteristics in three words?
What is your anxiety antidote?
ZHANG:
I used to be a beauty blogger, so I had appearance anxiety before, and when I saw too many pretty girls on the internet I would feel like I didn't count for anything.
My way to relieve this anxiety is to divert attention or get away from the crowd, drive around, let myself go, or go to see the beautiful scenery in nature will feel much better, in short, away from the crowd on the right.
JASPER:
I think it's basically impossible for people in this day and age not to have anxiety, whether its appearance Anxiety or graduation anxiety, or emotional anxiety, I think it's also important not to overthink it, and I sometimes fall asleep listening to ASMR white noise before bed, and it works for me. Looking at social media before bed is definitely a big culprit in making yourself anxious (laughs).
COBB:
Agree with them, because I think why the Internet era will be easy to anxiety because the amount of information we can now receive in a day is the amount that ancient people received in a lifetime, so people must learn to properly let go alone, I recently watched a video teaching people how to meditate in the beeper I think it's very interesting.
In the end, we meditated with a meditation tutorial from bilibili.com together and shared our thoughts with the process, the focus group all feel much calmer when they meditation with ASMR white noise.
Based on this intervention, I learned that many Generation Z believes that in today's information explosion, proper solitude, meditation, listening to white noise, and looking at natural beauty are acceptable ways for them to benefit their mental health.
