Reflections on the construction of virtual spaces
The spread of the epidemic has brought the world of online communication closer to everyone, especially Generation Z, the first generation born in the Internet age, and I have begun to narrow down the goal of my project to the creation of a virtual Cyber safe space where Generation Z can engage in self-relaxation, meditation, reflection, confession, and all other behaviors conducive to their mental health, combined with a "confession to a priest " religious rituals.
Human society, driven by industrialization, globalization, and information technology, has come to the doorstep of the next era. The French writer Flaubert said that art and technology always separate at the foot of the mountain and meet again at the top. I think this new idea of mine has a lot of potentials and is in line with the needs of the times.
The Internet technology of the information age was bred in the rational tradition of modern society, and the process of deconstruction of traditional society by reason since the Middle Ages has also been a process of dismantling religious authority. On the other hand, I believe that the "demystification" of religious mystery by the technology of the information age is not all a negative disintegration of meaning. There is also a new establishment of meaning under new humanistic goals such as 'absolute equality', 'reinventing faith' and 'algorithmic democracy', and perhaps the meaning of life and human dignity will be reshaped by these new technological practices.
Our generation of young people is facing an unprecedented set of challenges that are tearing apart the fabric of our society, causing untold damage and suffering. I, therefore, believe that new technologies must be used to devise a coping mechanism to safeguard our mental health.
