Unstructured Interviewed with GENZ focus group about confession to a virtual priest
The exploration took place in a focus group of four Gen Z people from different cultural backgrounds (China, Spain, USA, UK), with the aim of asking them what they thought about confessing to a priest and the new technologies I would incorporate to iterate the form of traditional way.
Two of them said they were interested because they often saw it in films. When I asked them if they had ever gone to church to do this ritual, they all replied that they had not, as none of them had a religious affiliation. One of the interviewees pointed out that the advent of the Internet age was a 'Disenchantment' of the mystery of religion.
Happily, they were all interested in my idea of incorporating new technology to iterate on this traditional approach, as it not only fits in with the habits of Generation Z but also takes some of the pressure off emotional receivers like priests and psychologists.
They all said they wanted to be the first users of my project! This motivates me to start working on the design of CYBER CONFESSIONAL and CYBER EMPATH as soon as possible!
